When A Long Drive Turned Way More Longer
And way more adventurous, funny and exciting!

The incident that happened with me, when I went on such a trip, can be regarded as one of the most unprecedented things one could have ever witnessed. Get ready to be left in splits!
Hi….Want to go Subway?
My girlfriend and I decided to go on a long drive one fine day. It was an unplanned drive because we had plans to dine in at Subway that afternoon. Subway outlet being closed instigated us to go on a long drive on NH5 that would ultimately lead us to Subway at Doraha, a town nearby.
We commenced our journey from there with full enthusiasm. We played songs, did crazy Instagram stories, and saw beautiful scenes around. We were in a full mood to enjoy that day. Little did we know God has planned something else for us.
When we were close to our destination, we saw it zoom past us on the other side of the road. We were looking for a U-turn. Suddenly, I sensed something was wrong with my car. It wasn’t accelerating at the pace I was expecting it to.
Now, I had already experienced this thing earlier. I used to accelerate it even higher before only to lose more speed and petrol. I sensed it might be another engine burnout. I decided to give it sometime before it cooled down to normalcy. I moved my car to the side and switched off the engine. After some time, I turned the engine on only to find that the car’s not moving at all. And this is where the problem started.
The Revelation of Truth
“The clutch plates had worn out”, said the mechanic we found a little while later. I had to push the vehicle to his location so that he could check what was wrong in the vehicle. It usually has quite a long life but my second-hand car couldn’t sustain it any longer. We were exhausted; We were hungry; All our mood was spoiled. We just wanted to reach home now, but couldn’t. I contacted my father, my all-time savior.
He advised me to dock the car at that place, let him fix the car, and return to home via cab. Now, this would mean my brother and me to come all the way here for repairs and then taking the car home. I couldn’t possibly drag anyone else in this matter. I decided to call the towing truck for assistance.
By the time, I ordered Dominos Pizza for us to eat. After some time, the towing truck came. The driver planted the car at the back of his truck and cruised on the way home. To be honest, we both were now pretty much enjoying the tilted ride. Calmly laying back, we enjoyed this modified roller coaster ride and ate pizza to add to our delight.
Not everyday you sit on the driver’s seat, not driving, and still driving, right?!
After some time, I dropped her at a place her brother was already waiting for her to get back home. I reached my home a little while later, parked the car right in front of the mechanic behind my home, and gave him his payment. Quite an interesting end to the day, hahaha!
